Right now, while you're reading this, things are happening above your head and around the world that would have been pure fantasy a generation ago. Rockets are landing themselves on floating platforms, being caught in nets, and grabbed from the air with giant chopsticks. Companies are mapping out cities on Mars. Robotic miners are being designed to crack open asteroids worth more than entire national economies. They're designing orbital factories and data centers to build things we could never consider in the past and wrap our planet in a net of intelligence accessible to all. We've even seen the first "space tow trucks".
Divine acts aside, it is my humble and correct opinion that we are living in the most exciting moment in human history, and very few are paying attention.
The Void Economy is for the ones who are.
As a published sci-fi author, it probably comes as no surprise that I'm obsessed with the wonders of science and space, the engineering breakthroughs, the wild ambition, the future many might think impossible. What may surprise you, however, is that I'm also an investor, and I like to invest in what I'm passionate about. The new frontier happens to be both the thing I'm most passionate about and the source of what will be the most impactful economic shift the world has ever seen — maybe the most impactful it WILL ever see.
That combination is how this site was born. I built a specialized AI tool for myself to keep up with the coolest advances in space that also move the growing space industry market. Every week, it combs through thousands of articles from around the world and isolates the ones that are both the coolest (I am a geek, after all) and the most significant for our budding space economy, and creates a mini report. Each report is broken into 5 basic sections:
THE STORY – This is the cool part that gets my geeky imagination juices flowing.
THE DOUGH – Points out where possible financial gain may exist.
THE POSSIBILITIES – Tells me what the event may bring about down the road, how it will affect the industry, or how it may be combined with other cool, geeky space stuff to make OTHER cool geeky space stuff!
THE HURDLES – What stands in the way of progress.
WHAT TO WATCH – An itemized list of what to pay attention to if I’m interested in pursuing THE DOUGH.

Though you'll never see my version of these reports because every one of them (and most of the images) needs some editing before they’re ready for prime time, the basic tool performs exceptionally well! Once I saw this, I wanted access to it from anywhere, so a website seemed obvious, and the thought to share it with others wasn’t far behind.
To make it more interesting for you (and admittedly, for me too), I added a workflow to create original images for every story as well, and voilà — The Void Economy was born!
Moments like this – every great leap humanity has taken has created staggering wealth in its wake. The printing press, the railroad, the internet — each minted fortunes for the people who understood it early. The commercialization of space will be the greatest of them all, by a wide margin.
But the money is the aftershock, not the point. The point is that we are becoming a space-faring civilization in real time, and the people who understand this future as it unfolds — who see the shape of the forming swell before the rest of the world — get to catch the most bodacious wave. Those who don’t will watch it roll beneath them, hoping to catch some other great wave. (Bummer.)
That's who the Void Economy is for. The early ones. The ones looking up in wonder. The ones who know it's not if, but when.
